IMPRÓ
on-going performance
Contemporary site-specific variety show? Theatre-dance-visual arts action series? Performance pub or what?
Knowing that the cultural demands of our present time are continuously and fundamentally changing, Artus Company started their performance pub series titled Ephemer Works in February 2010. The members of the company create a one-off event each time, especially designed for the conditions of a given space. This way each event is a premiere.
The monthly issues of Ephemer Works offer informal, but exciting opportunities to meet. While the public and the artists are having a talk at the table, visual, music, and theatre actions interrupt and enrich the evening. The event at dunaPart will be Chapter 13 of the series.
Each time a new performance is created within a single intensive day. Each performer is also a creator of the event.
The 1 to 2 hours long event-performance can take place in a café, a pub or any similar space. The audience can join a series of absurd and poetic situations in a casual, unrestrained, but still concentrated frame of mind. The events are spontaneous and yet elaborated to the last detail.
In the morning of the performance we do not know yet what the public will see in the evening.
Creator-performers: Antal Bodóczky, Martin Boross, Márton Debreczeni, Bea Gold, Gábor Kocsis, Pál Körmendy, Csilla Nagy, Gáspár Téri, András Tucker, Melinda Virág
Director: Gábor Goda
The 14th issue of Ephemer Works will be presented in the café of the Center of Contemporary Arts at New Territories Festival in Glasgow, March 2011.
